I've been messing around with the BB-2 as a second stage for the last hour. I can maintain that touch sensitivity, but a lot of the low-end definition that the BV preserves (thanks to that clean blend) is lost. I'll continue experimenting with it--it really is a great piece of gear--but my first impressions are you had it right: the BV is where it's at.
