Modulus Bassstar neck from the early 1980s fitted onto an alder Fender Re-issue body re-finished by MJT. Schaller tuners and Nordstrand pickup complete this project. The neck is fantastic, fast and slim... WAY more comfy and easy to get around on than the neck on the Modulus VJ.

Another St. Blues project bass, I picked this one up on eBay from a California owner. The body felt and sounded like maple. I replaced the pickups with ivory EMG X-Series to match the body's binding. The neck on this one was MUCH CHUNKIER than on the sunburst also posted in this gallery, guessing St. Blues was experimenting with their overseas factory during the time of manufacture.

This was my St. Blues S&T Custom. I upgraded it with a Tusq nut, Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound pickups and a Hipshot A bridge in brass. At the end of the day, it still didn't get me where I wanted to go but it was a fun project bass.
