Began playing violin in the second grade and advanced to bass in the 9th grade. Played double bass in the school orchestra, dance band, and some small ensembles. My bass career was interrupted by war and frequent moves until I finally settled down and bought a house in Montana. As soon as I discovered that this town had a small community orchestra I promptly bought a bass and started practicing again. Love it and want to make beautiful bass music.
