    Hi, apologies, just saw your message. From what I've read here, the pickup and pots serial numbers are a more accurate way of dating the bass. AFAIK the 4 bolt neck preceded the 3 bolt.

    Perhaps you could post pics of all the serial numbers, there's some people here that could probably help.
