Trombone from 6th through 12 grade, and for a couple of years around age 30. Now I occasionally make cow noises on it.
Guitar player for years, with occasional songs on bass live. Realized I was never going to be a great guitar player. Switched to percussion, then added bass. Now mainly bass. After a few years, I'm better on bass than I ever was on guitar. I'm down with that.
Day gig is a geek thing. I also write a lot, especially fiction, lots of geek stuff in the past. Several published books, mainly YA fantasy.
Married 45+ years to an amazing woman. Two bio-kids, and too many to count who call us Mom & Dad. A few grands. No great grands AFAIK.
I miss motorcycling, but want to get everything paid off before getting another.
I plan to live to at least 120.
I love Texas (we live central; I miss the desert), but I could live on a nice beach or in the redwoods.
