Gigs and Ensembles
Currently Studio work for myself and a Latin Jazz combo with Hammond B3.
I was a Gringo playing in a disco cover band at the Rosarito Beach Hotel in Mexico for 2 years running.

Southwestern Jazz Ensemble. Past studio work in Cologne, Stockholm, and San Diego.
Previously Owned Gear
Built my first bass when I was 14 from a cheap Japanese guitar I got in a pawn shop. Then a Hoffner violin bass (awful) and one of the first maple Carvin basses made. Built my own Heathkit amp, then moved up to an Acoustic 371 "Refrigerator", old Fender Bassman, and some Carvin amps early on.
Now having grown up, I am using Bergantino and Euphonic Audio forever more...
Influences and Teachers
Early influencers - Fielder, Sklar, Manring, Prestia, some Jamerson.
I now enjoy George Baldwin immensely. I wish he would post more... amazing player and great composer.
Classical was my start. SD Youth Symphony, SW University Jazz Ensemble (with Don Ellis).
Studied under Phillips, Dallenbach, Emile, Vinole, and Long.
Hobbies and Interests
Pilot. Vineyard owner. Most of my income comes from my hobbies...
