1965 Fender Precision (additional Jazz pickups w/ full controls added), 2003 Active Fender P-Bass, or Yamaha BN514 passive 5-string bass into a Gallien-Krueger 1100 [or a 1970s Acoustic 450] into GK Gold-series 4x10 + 1x15 cabs.
Favorite Genres
Rock (ANY), R+B, funk, new CW, blues. Playing since 1964, and always learning new, better techniques to express myself in the LOW end!
Gigs and Ensembles
I've sub'd. for local bands wherever my engineering contracts take me across the USA.
Currently back in NM where COVID has forced many of us to learn how to use loopers, sequencers and digital recorders in order to maintain our creativity. I miss being able to sit in on a jam session at one of the local music shops of which there are only 3 left. Sad...

Stanley Clarke (as a pioneer in putting the bass-player out as a front-man), Jaco Pastorius, Chris Squire (as a technician/YES), John Baldwin (aka John Paul Jones of Led Zepplin), Skylark (Doobie Bros), Donald Ean Evans (Lynyrd Skynyrd), Jeff Ament (Pearl Jam), Mike FLEA Bazary (RHCP), Taj Wilkenfeld(sp?) and bassists of Michael Jackson's ensemble.
Hobbies and Interests
Playing bass (laying tracks), of course, Martial-arts instructor (since '70), long-range target shooting & archery competitions, RTS games, CG-animation.
