My 2nd Bronco mod - on this one the stock pickup sounds good so I’m leaving it until I find something better that will work under the white cover. Swapped the pots to CTS, added a .104 orange drop cap, used brass sleeves on the pots so I could install the Davies pointer knobs, swapped the phillips screws for slotted on the pickguard (but have not found slotted for the pickup screws yet) and DR Sunbeams. Its very thumpy!

Funny what we notice that others might not had you not mentioned it. I curse at slotted screws all the time, they just seem clumsy when the screwdriver keeps sliding out. Maybe it's my technique? :thumbsup:

Looks cool. A matching headstock would look great too. Just my thoughts.

Nothing better than having the bass just how you want it though. Enjoy

Yeah the matching headstock is definately on the short list! Phillips def better for the on and off and all my other basses have phillips but for some reason the chrome phillips on white pickguard just bothered me!

I actually use bright white guards on my basses and I used black phillips screws on all the guards because I liked it. We all have those little things that make us happy. Make sure to post photos when you get the headstock painted, it'll look great.

Dig it! Of course I would, I have the same bass! Love the white knobs, might try those on mine. I fit a Novak single coil Musicmaster pickup under the white pickup cover on mine, so much improved clarity in tone, yet still full and authoritative.

I’ll def replace the pup just have not figured out which one but I'll take that as a vote for the Novak!
