*I've put this under recording but my band are also using it as a live desk and for recording.*
We purchased this a couple of weeks ago as a group and we couldn't be happier.
Set up was very easy - you can even play around with the app to get a feel for how it works without buying the desk.
We use an android tablet for the main set up currently.
Being able to change your own monitor mix via smart phone app without effecting anyone else's monitor output has been especially useful.
We used it to multi track record a rehearsal for the first time a couple of days ago via garage band. Again this was easy to set up with no other interface or drivers required. Just USB direct from the desk to my MacBook.
We are planning to record future gigs using the desk simultaneously for live function and as the input to recording software.
The unit itself is compact and very light weight. It was as simple as you would expect to add it to our amp rack... ears are provided. It takes up a lot less space than a traditional desk.
Overall if you are thinking of upgrading your desk for live or recording purposes I see no reason why this wouldn’t work for you.
However this is the first desk that I have used that uses a tablet so there may be better available.
