When looking for a home practice amp, I zeroed in on the Fender Rumble line fairly quickly. Even limited to the less-than-ideal testing environment of a Guitar Center, the awesome sound of the Rumble cabs was evident, and the deal was sealed when I picked them up. 22 lbs for a 100W combo amp? Ridiculous! And seriously, it seems even lighter!
I considered the 25 and 40 as well, and indeed I think I would have been quite satisfied with the 40, but in my naivete, I just wanted something that was at least "100 watts", so I got the 100. And in hindsight, even if it is overkill for home practice, I am still glad I chose it. It is still quite small, and so light that transport is a breeze. And so far it has kept up just fine with mid-sized guitar combo amps (Fender, Marshall, etc), so at least in my situation, it is the perfect "rehearsal" amp, which doubles quite nicely as a killer home practice amp!
All my guitar/bass-playing friends have been uniformly impressed with the sound and flat-out amazed when they picked it up.
