Hello guys, i am looking on jazz set, preferably the active for my old mij sr885 and I wanna ask, will it work with active 4 knob Artec electronic, no issue, or / alsojust passive electronic as well with 500kO pots? Or maybe better to play it safe and use Artec pups instead with? Thanks
Hi all,
I hope you are all well!
I’ve been in a bit of trouble with my bass (Ibanez Talman TMB100) for quite a while, and decided to swap out the electronics for something cheap and fairly reliable. I’ve seen these Artec being decent enough to put on inexpensive basses so decided to try it out...
Hi,
I love the sound of mudbucker pickups. I've been considering picking up an Artec but I hear very mixed things about their quality control. All the other mudbuckers I've seen are too expensive but if there are no other options I'll get them. I'm wondering if anyone knows any other pickups...
Oh hey!! I grabbed a P/J set of these from Guitarmadness with plans on throwing them into my Squier Jaguar bass. It presently has the “Duncan Designed” AlNiCo P and J bridge pickups, which are probably made by Artec as well!
Anyone have any experience with these?? They definitely...
I've dabbled with passive fuzz circuits in the past, which can be fun, but I've always experienced a bit of a volume drop with them, so switching on mid-song was always a little bit of a let down. Debating how to get a nice snarly fuzz boost, I considered installing the guts of an existing fuzz...
I have a Epiphone EB0 that I love a disproportionate amount. I've been playing for decades and have nicer basses, but after I adjusted and shimmed the neck a bit the EB0 has become my goto bass in my home studio.
That said, I'm toying with the idea of swapping the pickup just to see if I like...
I've been wanting to try this pedal for a long time, lately I managed to get a used one on ebay, tried it today, and it is absolutely fantastic! It maybe only one frequency that you change but hey it does the job of finding that missing frequency that your bass lacks, the bypass is good too. It...
I got an Artec SE-2A to replace the preamp/eq in a Hadean solid body uke that had a wonky preamp. Seemed like a simple enough install but this stuff is obviously not my forte : / Signal passes but no controls have any affect on it, and the ground buzz is the most prominent feature but I can't...
Hi,
I need an internal preamp for mixing the magnet and piezo pickups in my bass. I have asked several shops here in Spain, but nobody can give solutions.
I've been searching the Web and I've found only two: Bartolini MPB2-918 and Artec MB-2
On the other hand, my sister is going to Miami next...
Found this head with a 4*12 Artec cab for 140€. Does it worth it?
I'd use it for gigs later. I only have a Marshall MB30 now, and some old Solton amp in the practice room. That one needs some repair anyways, and it's not mine, so I'd like to have my own big amp. Couldn't find any reviews of the...
Selling two 5-string Jazz pickups and an active preamp, originally installed in my Brubaker Brute bass.
Preamp is made by Artec Sound and features 4 controls: master volume, blend, treble and bass. I think all pots are rated at 100k.
Pickups are the first gen Brubaker Brute humbucker pickups...

After some experimentation, i decided to try this stuff in my battle bass (Fenix SH with schaller bassbucker), after removed both tone and volume pots (i use a volume pedal) and adding a series-split-parallel switch and a killswitch as well).
The bass in passive mode is totally quit without hum...
As the headline says, is it worth it or are there other budget wah-wah pedals that would be a better investment?
What about their just slightly more expansive APW-7 wah?
This one's not nearly as exciting as the Studio Electronics ModMax Filter I just posted, but it's a cool and useful little tone shaper! The SE-PEQ is a good way to get precise tone shaping at a low price. It's not an Empress ParaEQ by any stretch, but it does its job quite well. It will be...

For Sale: Artec SE-PEQ Parametric EQ
You can adjust the specific frequency, the width, and the boost/cut! Great for general tone shaping, or for the parametric precision of notching out/removing feedback, resonances, howling, etc. Or for notching in attack or special sounds at the frequency of...

Hey bass dudes,
I'm looking at swapping the pickups on my MIM Fender jazz bass for a mellower, warmer, more vintage 60s-ish tone. So I'm in the market for alnico pups rather than ceramic pups (the stock pups in my jazz being ceramic, which yields a brighter tone). Searching eBay for alnico...
I recently had a malfunction with some pickups I just got from a small time builder and they appear to have caused an issue with the Duncan pre I am using. So I found these on eBay on the cheap.I can't find much info on them anywhere but for the price I figured why not try em.I did manage to find...
I want to buy the artec ebc4-cr mudbucker pickup but the only one who sells it right now is edenguitars.com and its 37$ the pickup but 50$ the delivery fee. Does anybody know if there is actualy an another store that sells this particular pickup?
