Pretty used but definitely not dead. One thing to note is I acquired a new bass partway through this set's life and the new bass did not have an extension. In a pinch (an old string on the bass came unwound) and just to experiment I put this set with the extension E on my non-extension bass...

Hardly used. Going through some string hunting and the top 3 were on my bass for about 3 weeks. Extended string got some further use but is still very fresh. Maybe an extra 1.5 weeks.

If I were to add a Spirocore E to an ADG of Flexocors (92s), which Spirocore would match best in terms of diameter and tension? 3/4 Mittel? 4/4 Mittel? Weich? Would it be better to pair the D&G Flexocors with both a Spiro A&E? It's for a small, short-scale, 3/4, Italian model, Hungarian bass...
I'm well past due for some new strings, and as my three biggest influences for the stuff I'm currently playing (Ethan Jodziewicz, Paul Kowert, and Edgar Meyer) all appear use the same set-up I thought I'd give that a try. The problem is all those guys use solo tuning for the top three strings...
My newly Acquired G&L is pretty much immaculate barring this ugly ass signature on the neck in permanent marker.
Any suggestions for getting this off without damaging the neck lacquer?
Also who the hell is Nate Bass?
I currently have almost no time to practice due to family and day job commitments, and when I do get to play I'm fatigued after a short time so I'm thinking of trying solos downtuned to standard. I normally use Flexocor deluxe on this bass and also liked Permanents, but I'm not sure if the solo...
I had this string listed with a set but the upper strings sold separately. About 4 weeks on my bass so it's nearly new. The yellow spiral on the silk has frayed but that was the fault of my careless removal.

Bought these and put them on last month, only to try out BelCantos+Spiro again and love it.
About a month on the set, so they're not even fully broken in.
$175 shipped obo.

I have a 1998 Carvin LB75 with a two way truss rod that needs a nut "glued" back on the end of the adjusting rod so there is a way to turn the adjusting rod. This is kinda complicated to explain, but I'll do my best.
The two way truss rod does not have a nut that turns on the end of the rod...
Hello bassists,
I have a following question: about 7 years ago I bought some new set of double bass strings, I´m almost sure there were Pirastro Permanent. After some year I stop playing this strings because they made my fingers dirty (black) after minutes of playing … This year I bought new...

Two Pirastro Permanent E strings cut in order to wind around the typical A peg. One is 62", the other, 63".
Both are in very nice playable condition. Silks are a little frayed from mounting/dismounting.
I'm selling because Flex 92's perform better on my bass.
$50 each shipped Conus, PPal.

Full set of Permanent rope core strings in good shape.
I bought these from a TB-er a couple of years ago in nearly-new condition. Since then they've been on two basses for a total of about 3 weeks with minimal playing time.
Unclipped. No separation of the windings. Silks on the pegbox ends show...

I have solo Permanents GDA (AEB) that are very lightly used. $75. I can throw in Xyex solo E or something else from the draw for another $20.
Thanks
Louis

A friend recently purchased a home. He and I were talking about improvements this coming spring. He asked what I thought of putting together a low powered backline that could live on the patio.
He often has gatherings that turn musical, and has been running a cable and moving combos in and out...
I'm an amateur with a day job. I played in local original bands for a few years 20 years ago. Took about a 13 year layoff from bass then came back to play at church about 5 years ago. In a few years, I'll be able to leave my day job and scratch by and I'll be free to make music and hopefully a...
