I just bought an old Fender Bass Case and it has the strangest hinges on it! I've been a collector for almost 30 years and i've never seen this style hinge on any other Fender case!! Has anyone else? please post pis if you have them!

This neck is a 1967 prototype neck....I was surprised to see it's got a maple cap on top? Anyone have one of these?? Is yours also maple capped? Any other info would be great! Thanks
