Up for sale is a recent, Ibanez TMB-30 body. Original pickups, electronics, hardware is all included (except strap buttons) and all is working as it should! Protective lamination still on the pickguard. Neck pocket width is ~62mm(~2.44"). I used the neck from this bass for a Thunderbird parts...

I'm new to bass and am waiting on a new Ibanez Talman TMB100. I have an amp that I feel is too much for praticing (I'll be praticing in the middle of the night). What are some good budget options for pratice amps?
This is an acoustic/electric 5-string...very rare. I recently saw a YouTube video of a fretless model:
But Ibanez said they were all fretted. It also goes by model TTR 35B.
Hi all,
I recently picked up an Ibanez TMB100 on Facebook marketplace for $100.
so far, I’m loving it but the P pickup cuts in and out randomly.
The volume portion of the pot works perfectly fine, and the pickup blend dial will shift between the J pickup and the P (even if P is inaudible)...
So I've been pondering getting a cheap-ish bass as a modding platform. Found this at a nearby music store for 209.00. ...To be honest, I just think it looks cool. I've seen pictures of these online and thought they were kinda ugly, but something about seeing it in person changed my mind. The...
Hi all,
I hope you are all well!
I’ve been in a bit of trouble with my bass (Ibanez Talman TMB100) for quite a while, and decided to swap out the electronics for something cheap and fairly reliable. I’ve seen these Artec being decent enough to put on inexpensive basses so decided to try it out...
Excellent condition, some pick scuffing on the pickguard but otherwise near perfect cosmetically. Upgrades include neck pickup replaced with Fender 57 P Bass model and a zero fret nut for better action and intonation. Frets recently dressed, pro set-up. Short scale. Plays and sounds wonderful...

Hello helpful people. I'm looking to change out the tuners on my Ibanez Talman 300 as one of them is malfunctioning. I found some Grover tuners that fit all the dimensions except for the two narrower screws as the current ones on the Talman are 18mm but the Grover's are 17mm. Is this enough...

This question is directed at people who believe (like myself) that body wood affects tone. Not trying to feed into that ongoing debate over whether body wood matters or not here. The only bass I've ever owned that is made of poplar just happens to be the most resonant and has great tone...
anyone messing about with a Talman 5 string that they done t need the neck for, ;lol? :)
These are great basses for the money! I picked one up and am attempting a fretless conversion, but its not going as anticipated, there is a lot of chipping out. I may have to get this professionally...
Lol alright so it may be a bit of an oddly specific request, but Im looking to buy an Ibanez Talman TMB300 (or higher) neck for my bass. I have an Ibanez Talman TMB100-BK that I've had for over a year now, and I've spent a good amount of money and time on installing new pickups, ordering a new...
Hello,
I'm new to bass. basically, I'm a guitarist.
Right now I need a low-cost bass for home playing and home recording purposes.
I saw these 2 basses in my budget:
1. Ibanez Talman TMB100
2. Squier Affinity PJ Bass
Please tell me, which one should I buy?
please help review the advantages...
I wanted to replace this hideous photo finish tort on my Ibanez Talman 310 because it was a real eyesore. "Why didn't you replace it with real tort?" Because I don't kill endangered species. ;) I got this white pearloid from Pickguard Planet because I missed a bass I had way back in the day that...
After the Robhe scam adventure, I had five refunds burning a hole in my pocket. I couldn't just leave well enough alone and not buy a new bass that I don't need.
I was surfing around and up pops this deal on a B-stock Ibanez Talman. Maple neck, mint green, with tort! How could I pass it up...
So what will you do that Robhe refund?
I considered it spent money on gear.
I'm going to re-allocate to another bass purchase.
I've ordered an Ibanez Talman , mint green with tort!
I went all in on Robhe purchases, and the refund will cover this purchase of the B stock Talman
What will you do?
On Thursday, Mrs. Instrumentlevel wanted to go to Target, so I went along and popped into Guitar Center across the parking lot. I had joked about getting a new Rick for the quarantine. My son tried to help convince her, saying “I heard that playing a Rick is the best way to protect against...
I popped into guitar center today while my wife was shopping next door, just to pass the time. While I was noodling on a new player series jazz bass an older man walks up to me and says he’s looking to buy a bass today, limit of $500, and asked if I had any recommendations. This particular GC...
This one hurts! Don’t have a weight but bass is probably 8-9 pound range. Ibanez version of a fender, very nice smooth neck.
The body is topped with a vintage tortoise pickguard, while the C-shaped neck rocks a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with block inlays, 1-5/8" nut and 9.84" radius...

curious to see if anyone has played one and compare to the more entry level models?
There is almost nothing online about the prestige model.
I picked one up for a great deal, I’ve owned a TMB300 and played a TMB100 but am wondering why no love for the prestige line?
Ibby Talman 300, Forest Green, Really good shape.
Currently has DR DDT's on it.
Upgraded the Bridge. It has a Hipshot Kickass on it.
The one issue that is a bit weird, the stacked Volume/Blend pot is a bit "loose". Feels like someone took off the pickguard and didn't re-assemble it correctly...

I am unfortunately having to sell my gear as I move cross-country. I purchased this bass last year, and it replaced a 2012 Fender American Deluxe jazz V. I feel like this bass is significantly more reliable in setup, and a ton of fun to play with the Nordstrom PJ setup.

I have a TMB300 I got my son in 2016 and the preamp has altogether been problematic. The fit and finish is exceptional so if I can solve the preamp dilemna then problem solved.
Any suggestions?
9v with double stacked knobs. If the par/ser switch were bypassed in the job I don't care...
Just wanted to post a few pics of another one of Pat Wilkins' refinishing works of art.
Backstory:
I have a couple of Ibanez Talman 5-strings, but for whatever reason Ibanez has decided that the 5-string Talman is only going to be made in Black - period. o_O While the 4-string Talmans have...
Hi, I havn't been able to find a thread about short scale flats for the mix (drum/guitars), so I'm firing this up as I really want to get wiser from your experiences! There are threads about long scale flats / mix, but I'm not sure it translates into short scale flats.
When I say mix, I'm...
I've been playing an Epiphone Accu bass Jr for years. Recently I bought an Ibanez Talman 100. The Talman kills my left (fretting) hand when I play it but the Epiphone never has and still doesn't hurt to play. I'm trying to determine what the difference(s) between the two basses may be so I...
For sale or trade is a 2017 Ibanez Talman 300 in Forest green. The bass is in great condition, it is one of the many basses I bought here in the classifieds.
The previous owner took all the electronics apart and converted the bass to just a P. Long story short I purchased a new pickguard...

Yup, first actual "new" bass in a long time. The Ibanez TMB-310.
Had it shipped to work so I could open it immediately. Zzounds worked another miracle and had it shipped in about 16 hrs from time of order.:wideyed:
Came set up okay. Most I could find was the neck has a lot of relief, but the...
Hey guys,
I'm sick of trying to learn stuff in drop tunings or what-have-you for the band on a 4 string strung EADG and then transposing it on my P5 tuned half a step down. So I thought why not pick up a cheap bass, it's not like it'd be leaving the house much if ever so I don't need something...
Looking to move a couple of instruments that are taking up space presently. Prices do not include shipping. Willing to ship, but at the buyers expense. Local deal would be rad, trades are cool too, either straight accross or 2 for 1 (willing to package these two and the FujiGen I have listed...

Generic buying my first bass thread here. I really got into bass in music class and I'm finally going to get my own. As the title goes, which one would you go for? They both stand at the price of $199 or 199€ and I really like both of them.
Any alternatives?
And also, if i go for the Ibanez...
I have a friend who is just getting in to bass. He bought a Talman that he would like to mod with new pickups, tuners and a bridge. He is pretty handy, so he won't have any trouble do the work.
He reached out to me to ask about parts recommendations. I won't get a chance to look at the bass...
