Everyone talks about putting a 15 with another 15, why. The rig I use to play was a SWR750 head, Aguilar 210 and a EV15. I loved that rig a lot, but getting older now and I got tired of hauling that all around, I bought a MarkBass Jeff Berlin 151p and its nice, but I like to add another cab with it sometimes to get the full 500 watts are close to it. So I need another cab and everyone tells me i need another 15. Personally I wish I had kept the SWR, the MarkBass is okay. I tried a PV210 cab but it sucked. I wish I could trade for the rig I play at church, Its a 15year old SWR350 and a SWR410 cab same year. They were stupid to quit making SWR. So what cab and I can't afford right now a MarkBass cab would you use.

With cabs I think sticking to the same brand and series at least is a good idea, because the cabs should be voiced fairly similarly and should hopefully blend well. If you know what you're doing and are after a specific thing, mixing different brand cabs/drivers could work. There's a certain amount of science and art to it.

Anyway, some form of MB 15 shouldn't be too expensive especially in Austin which I imagine has a huge used gear market.

And yes, SWR stuff is awesome and Fender sucks for killing them off.
