Hello All,
Not sure if I am posting this in the correct place (please correct me if not) but I have found a 1970 Fender Precision and the owner claims it's original paint job is Sherwood Green however all references I can find on the internet claim that Fender stopped using that color in 1965.
Having said that I also know that sometimes Fender records can be somewhat unreliable so I was wondering if anyone could let me know if Fender actually did use this color in 1970?
Here are some references I found:
Fender Color Chart - 1970 Fender catalog, page 95
-- color not found on this page
Vintage Guitars Info - Fender custom color finishes on vintage Fender guitars
-- about 3/4 of the way down is a color-by-year chart indicating that they only used the Sherwood Green color between 1960-1965.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
