I have a Fender Deluxe Active P Bass Special and my head is an Aguilar Tone Hammer 500 amp. Unfortunately I don't have the opportunity to demo both of these heads next to each other to hear the differences in tone. I play mainly Rock/Pop stuff (i.e. John Mayer, RHCP, Maroon 5) and should have more than enough headroom and volume with either setup for my needs.
I know this has probably been covered on here somewhere before.... but what cabs would you prefer if you had a choice? I'm young and can handle the DB weight but obviously lighter is always more appealing. Does anybody think you sacrifice sound for weight with the SL112s compared to the DB112?
