3 wires Humbucker wiring, i need help

I'm working on my Fenix bass, it has a humbucker with RED-WHITE-BLACK-BARE wires.
Actually is connected to a SPDT for the coil splitting, i want to wire it in a DPDT switch to add the series/parallel position.

the red wire is soldered to the first lug, the white to the third, black&bare soldered and grounded to the switch chassis. The central lug is for the output.

Thanks in advance
@line6man your help will be appreciated, as always...

In order for series/parallel switching to work, you need to have four conductor wiring. From what you have described, there are only three conductors. It sounds like you have hots for each coil, and a common ground for both of them. (The bare wire is a seperate ground for the shielding/pole pieces.) I suppose it is possible that one of the coils shares a ground with the shielding/pole pieces, on the bare wire, while the other coil has its own ground on the black wire, but that isn't very common. In any case, more info is needed on the pickup and its wiring.

there'a a SPDT switch. It allows to switch from the red & the white wires. Bare and black are grounded.
So the current wiring allows to switch from north coil to south coil, but you want a third position for parallel?

You can do that with a DPDT On/On/On switch wired as a pickup selector switch. Alternatively, any style of pickup selector switch will work. (Gibson toggle, Telecaster blade switch, etc.)

Red and white correspond to the neck and bridge pickup inputs in this diagram. Black and bare go to ground.
