Hello there,

My website - Tom Read Bass

...has nearly 500 bass transcriptions - and all free. (It will be >500 very soon as I've got another batch to upload).

In the event that a transcription anyone wants is not on the site, I run a paid-for service to write them on request. I can provide notation, or notation + TAB (on 2 staves). I don't do TAB only.

If anyone needs TAB for any of the free transcriptions on the site, then I can offer that for a very small charge. Same for minor arrangement changes, key changes etc.

But the main thing is to offer everyone on this forum to make use of my large library of free bass notation - HELP YOURSELVES!

Thanks Tom! I forgot to post earlier. I had to travel up home for a Christmas party with my English buddies. They informed at the last minute that they wanted to play Slade "Merry Christmas Everybody". And you had it transcribed. Un F'* believable!!! I learned it on the plane ride, thanks to you!

Yes, the table entries are not clickable. I'd like them to be, but it is not currently possible with my website builder.

So it's just a look-up table. If you find what you want in there, then scroll down to beneath the table and surf in from there.

Not sure about the not working on a PC thing; I've checked it on a few, and all working as expected.

OK, I'll give it a try.

500 becomes 550!

38 new bass transcriptions added to the library at Tom Read Bass just now. We've now hit the 550 mark - and they're all free - fellow bass players, help yourselves.

New ones include Grateful Dead, Frank Sinatra, John Mellencamp, Paloma Faith and Neil Young! Always plenty of variety!
In response to a common request, I have now added a Date field on the look-up table, so if you just want to see the new ones, type "Apr 2018" into the search box.

You need to scroll down to the letters below the look-up table to actually download a transcription BTW.

There is also a service available for "to-order" transcriptions, arrangement alterations, key changes, conversion to tab (tablature) charts etc, but the basic resource of 550 bass charts is completely free and provided with my compliments to all reading bass players out there!

Feel free to share with other bass players, on timelines and in musician/bassist Facebook groups.
