I am going to travel for a few days and I would like to just carry my bass gig bag and put my 13inch Macbook air, chargers, and a book in a gig bag. What kind of gig bag should I go for? Is Road Runner RR2EB Boulevard Series or Gator 4G good? My budget would be under $100 at this point...Thanks!

i'm sure others will have point-on suggestions, but to my eyes: the road runner bag looks a little more 'substantial' in several ways compared to the gator bag.

FWIW: i don't carry my laptop in a gig bag, but rather in a laptop bag where i put all of my other 'gig supplies'.

i hope others will have great suggestions for you to peruse and consider. good luck with your gig bag search!

Question. In what way do you see Roadrunner to be more substantial? just curious thanks.

sorry: your question didn't 'register' with me, earlier! ;)

i'm just going by the pictures i saw of the two bags, and of course, pictures can be deceiving.

FWIW: i have an inexpensive road-runner dual bag and i like it/use it in spite of its modest price. good thick(er) canvas shell and padding.

Thank you! I agree. I think the material is a little better on Roadrunner and the zippers too. What kind of RR do you have?

Some good choices here. I have the pro tech contego which is a fantastic bag. Should fit a laptop in the big pocket. I wanted to post here to just say - you want to house, carry, protect a musical instrument and a laptop computer. You need to bump your budget. Protect your babies!
