Hello all,

Just a quick question for those who use this gear and want to make sure this is good before pulling the trigger on it. I’ve been looking at getting a gigging setup for my bass and found a Fender Rumble 200 Bass Amp head, and am pairing that with a Fender 210 cab. Would this be enough power to gig with my band (Mostly playing 90’s rock). The venues we are playing at are small to medium and my bass has active pickups if that helps. Thanks so much!

Is it one of the newer Rumble v3's with the silver grill? If so, the 200 alone could do fine for a smaller room, as long as the guitar/drums aren't to loud. With the added 210, you'll get more headroom from the amp and push a lot more air, so it will sound fuller. I have a Rumble 500 head and x2 210's cabs, i use a single 210 80% of the time.

I think I might have wrote the initial post in an odd way. I meant the rumble 200 amp head. I think I accidentally wrote the combo amp initially. Sorry if that was a bit confusing. Either way it is a v3. Thanks for the response!

Yes, the Fender Rumble 200 is quite gigable with many bands in many venues. Of course, given the head, a lot depends on the speaker cab. If you're considering the Rumble V3 210 cab, that's a great combination. Be aware, however, that the head is pumping 140 watts into any 8 ohm cab, like that one. You need either a 4 ohm cab or, better yet, two 8 ohm cabs to get the full 200 watts. But, yes, many bassists successfully gig the 200 with just an 8 ohm speaker load at 140 watts. Other Rumble users, like me, prefer to have the 500 combo, with an extension cab available, just in case the gig gets really loud.

You should post this question, and others, in The Fender Rumble Club to get the most knowledgeable responses about the Rumbles.
