I have been playing Moses basses for the last 11 years or so ,on several occasions i have needed service on these unique instruments , the first an instrument needed a neck refretting and replaining Steve Mosher refered me elsewhere to for service, to Peekamoose in New York ,Hands down the most knowledgeable graphite neck repair shop in the US they determined that the instrument had some serious structural issues and corrected it to at least make it playable ,he didnt want to see it,didnt want to know about it ,he wasnt interested in servicing it ,another instrument had a cracked battery cover ,he made a cover that did'nt fit i had to take it to a locaL shop that reshaped to work and in all fairness he did refund me for it but it was still a fail....the latest i bought a 3 year old instrument with a minor structural problem , while it was going back anyway i asked him to do a zero relief set up on the bass ,he corrected the structural issue but the bass came back with the G string buzzzing like a sitar ,I called him upset that i waited 2 months for this he said you need to tweak the truss rod a hair or so ,this involved removing the neck and some guess work ,something ive had plenty of experience with ,this was after paying $150? for the set up ....After 8 hours ,2 nights 4 hours each the bass is still buzzzing , the problem appears to be with the zero fret .... his response......".i'm refunding you the money theres nothing more I can do on it "....in otherwords i dont want to be bothered servicing my own product even if its only 3 years old .........after speaking to several other cats who used moses necks i'm hearing multiple stories about quality control issues of moses products , necks that frets wouldnt stay in , incorrectly placed frets , and Moses not wishing to service thier own products ,,,,,,,would be interested in any dealings peops have had with Moses .im done with them .................

Let me see if I have this correctly. You got a Moses neck, sent it for service in NY and were happy. You got another Moses neck and sent it back to Moses for work but they couldn't repair the issue and refunded your money? Is that where we're at here?
the point I was trying to make is Steve Mosher dosen't like to support what he builds ....maybee i wrote it to convoluted ....

I think I generally get what you say has been going on.

If these instruments weren't still under the guarantee period I can see why a manufacturer may not wish to get involved with running repairs -as it's dead time and money to them. However if it were me, I'd still like to see a basic level of interest or helpfulness and this would decide it for me whether I would ever chance another of their products again in the future.

If I were in the market again for graphite basses, Rob Green at Status would be my go-to-guy because he seems to care a lot more about his products than the experience you have just described.

I hope you get things sorted to your satisfaction.

It takes someone in the legal profession (IIRC) to be able to distill such a diatribe down to its basic essentials!

Well I'm certainly not a lawyer and understood the gist of the post without any trouble - you guys focussing on the poster's punctuation and other frothy stuff wouldn't be attempting to divert attention from what he said, would you?

Anyway I hope the OP gets his problems sorted out.

I'm with the other poster who mentioned that those companies apparently lacking longer term interest in their product sales are ultimately those who will have issues with customer relations - some companies are light years ahead on their attitudes and actions on this.
