I thought these were disabled. I just got a notification for a new achievement and have zero interest in this. I even went through the achievement notification options and disabled each one, but still I got this. What's up here?

Sigh. I just got some "achievements" too. I'm not here to "achieve" any of those things - I'm here to achieve growth as a bass player by learning from others, and perhaps even be able to help others by sharing my experiences.

Just ignore 'em. Or get a chuckle out of them. Life is too short to be bothered by little things like this.

I'm also not especially interested in these 'gamey' aspects, but at least if they are there they should be applied retrospectively. Almost 10,000 posts and just under 19,000 'reactions' prior to the software change should count for something, no?

even with 'likes', now theres upvotes too?
Guess im too old for the new paradigm; it just seems like too much, too many 'alerts' interruptions.
(I keep looking up to find an Alert, only to see its some random "achievement" instead of something I actually set as an alert)

Just ignore them for now. Eventually we plan on making these more meaningful. Like rewarding 100% positive feedback ratings, or most helpful answer in (upcoming) q and a forums etc.

I have been away for a while, and when I came back, I had a slew of achievements. I also had notifications congratulating me for being a member for 4 years - when I have been a member for 20. Decided to search to see if others were seeing some of this, or, if my account was hacked somehow. Glad it's just a glitch in the matrix. :)
