Alternative to Hipshot Xtender

Does anyone else make anything like the Hipshot Xtender? I did a search through Alibaba (and the forums here) and didn't find anything recent or relevant.

Hohner had a bridge that would let you drop the E to D. Seems like they might still be available. You're probably better off with the Hipshot.

The only alternative I’m aware of is muting your amp and retuning really quick.

I don't think I'd be able to replace the bridge on the bass I'm considering the modification for, but thanks for the info!
