Ampeg + Gallien Krueger

Will a Gallien Krueger 1001rb II over power an Ampeg SVT410HE cab? Anyone have any experience with the combination of this cab with this head? Seems like a cheaper alternative to the GK neo410.... (USED) and I could really use saving that extra hundred + dollars

Sure, there's a possibility it could, but using the good common sense you were born with, there shouldn't be a problem.

Nothing wrong with saving money on a quality used cab and that is a good quality cab. Current sites list it as an 8 ohm cab so you should be pretty safe and you can still add a second 410 if you run out of "loud" with one cab.

There's definitely the potential there to blow the speakers if you are not careful. That said, be careful. Listen to the speakers. You can get a feel for what they can and can't do.
