Hi,
i have bought sunn 300T amp.
My current cab is ampeg svt410hlf.
For distorted midrange i use crossover, another tube guitar amp + 2x12 cab for distorted midrange.
It sounds great together, but is lot of pathing during live performace.

Now i want to use only one amp - sunn 300T, but i need one more cab, 410hlf have brutal bass, but is weak in midrange and don't have this "ugly fuzzy" sound like 212 cabinets.

ampeg svt212av looks good, sounds good in midrange, impedance 4ohm, same as svt410hlf, sunn 300T supports 2ohm minimal impedance.

But there is one issue - dimensions.

Width of both is 24 inches (61 cm), thats same
But depth of svt212 is 16' = ( 40.64 )
Depth of top of svt410hlf is 15' ( 38 cm )

I see "legs" on svt212 photos, but i don't know if distance is enought.

Do you have some experience with stacking some another cabinet to svt410hlf ?

Or can you recommended another cab ?

Thank you for any hint.

I owned two 410hlfs and stacking them could be done, but it was never sturdy. The top of the cabinet is not large and and has an angled portion on the back. I suggest selling the 410hlf and getting two cabinets you like. The same tonal profile you are experiencing with the 410hlf is EXACTLY what I experienced. I found the tone useless in live settings.

Hi Gearhead17,
i don't want to stacking two 410hlf together, but 212av on top of 410hlf.
212av is only one inch deeper than top of 410hlf.
But nobody can told me if its possible :(

410hlf is not very well alone, this is reason why i using 212 with guitar tube amp on top of 410hlf.
But i like deep subbass of 410hlf, i don't know if is there similar cabinet what i can put at bottom of 212av.

The flat portion on top of the 410hlf is about the same size as the SVT CL - you can see the plastic cups on top. It was designed for the SVT CL to be put on it.

Specs for the SVT CL/within an inch or so of the flat portion on top of SVT 410hlf.
Dimensions (W x H x D inches): 24 x 11.5 x 13

Specs for SVT 410hlf (just overall dimensions)
Dimensions (W x H x D inches): 24 x 30 x 19

Specs for 212AV
Dimensions (W x H x D inches): 24 x 25 x 16

I don't suggest stacking the 212AV on top of the 410hlf. Not a very sturdy setup here. I also suggest looking into Green Boy Audio, Barefaced, and other boutique bass cabs designs. I would never mix anything with the 410hlf - that cabinet is a waste of time

I try to stack my friends svt410he on top of svt410hlf and it was stable.
I finally bought svt420av and stiack on top of svt410hlf and ...

... Its working ;)
And sounds like ( rape ) and honey !
