Ampeg V4

Local guy has a early 70's V4 with a 4x12 cab. He is wanting $1000 for both. I thought about asking him what he wanted for the head alone. What is something like that in excellent worth?

The amp looks to be in good shape. The metal knob revisions are the most desirable in my opinion.

Some maintenance has been performed, the power cord was changed. The original back panel is missing and replaced with the screen. They were often removed and lost, these amps run kind of hot. If you buy it, ask if they have the original panel.

The asking price is not that bad considering that it comes with a cab. I’d want to reskin the speaker cab, assuming it is a plywood.

There are a couple of truvox 12” models. You’d have to try it to see how it does with bass. The whizzer helps with high end, it is a PA speaker.
