I was wondering if it would be possible to run a marshal avt150h head on a ampeg610hlf a friend of mine gave me the head for free and im picking up the cab today. I would be using a sansamp vt bass di as a pre amp thru the effects return

I would sure want to try that cabinet before you buy it. With a tube amp or low global feedback solid state amp it has the potential to be very sloppy in the low end.

Some folks love them, some hate them. The HLF a very divisive cabinet line from players I have talked with.

I appreciate it was more so wondering whether or not it would work with the avt guitar amp, i am getting a darkglass micro tube head but wanted to use the avt in the meantime

There's no reason it wouldn't work.

If your amp goes to 4ohm, then yes. That's literally the only factor.

It will work. It might not be very well voiced for low end, but it has a clean channel that will probably work ok for bass, at least temporarily.

True, I love that cab because it produces a massive low end modern tone.

But it's not for everyone. Especially since some might consider it as a shorter version of the 810. But it's a completely different cab.
