Amptweaker Bass Tight Fuzz JR?!

Ah, excellent.
We decided to put it on the side so it was less likely to get accidentally stomped/adjusted on these much smaller footprint pedals. But it has virtually the same circuitry as the bigger version, just with a Tight switch instead of the knob, and we left off the Smooth switch....but we also added a 'Now' setting on the EQ(60s, 70s, Now) that similar to the Gain Boost option we offered on the bigger pedal, for heavier fuzz. Still has the Silicon/Germanium switch and the auto-biasing knob on the Fuzz so you get nice clean tones.

We also released a Bass BluesFuzz Jr version that uses lower output germanium transistors and has a Mid EQ. It's a bit cleaner generally speaking, and maybe a little better for getting old school small bass amp tones.

I bought one of these on pre-order and it just came in. Very versatile and wonderful sounding pedal. It covers a hell of a lot of ground. I'm curious though what size screws I'd need to mount it using the screw holes.

The holes in the bottom plate are .140 Inch, which will accept a #6 screw....of course you could drill out the hole if you wanted to use a #8. You can also use a tie-wrap in the corner holes.

I had the big dude bass tightfuzz. I loved it but it was really big, dude. I was able to get a thick impactful non-fuzzy sound from it that still somehow sounded really high gain. Can the jr still get that Sound? I can’t tell from the one demo video. Also, is it standard boss sized?

You can get pretty much all the same tones as the bigger one.....the only thing I left off was the Smooth switch, and you have just 3 settings on a switch in place of the Tight knob. I just did that quick demo to show off some of the tones, but I did send them to Bass Gear Magazine for a review, and they're supposed to be doing a video as well.

Any suggestions for others to send them to do get a nice demo done?

The JRs are the same size as an MXR Phase 90, which is a little bit smaller than a Boss pedal.

Thanks! I think I'll need to get one then!

As far as what I would like from a demo - this is pretty individual, but what I loved about the Bass TightFuzz was that I could get some great tubey driven sounds out of it that sounded nothing like fuzz, more like the original sound with some angry "teeth" to it. I'd like to hear more non-fuzz sounds, and of course some playing with drums.

Understood.....the Bass BluesFuzz JR is also great for cleaner fatter stuff like that as well. I did more of those types of tones on its demo.
