the mystery being why there's so little info on these combos and especially the model I have access to for $400 which is squat and squarish compared to everything else I'm finding in searches. in such a bulky appearance I assumed it housed a 15'' speaker but I see no 15'' EDEN combos and the 12''s don't look anything like the one I'm eyeing either. there's no yellow tweeter, or ports that I recall, it's not piggybackish, and I'll be looking at it again in a few hours to maybe try it out but what am I missing here? the EDENs tend to get reverential reviews so this oddity could be a winner, I'm just shocked to not find much on EDEN amps in this style and 0 about this one. wish I could post a pic but that would be too helpful...

Some people built or put those amps on or in other cabs, without pictures it is hard to say. The one you are looking at may just be an Eden amp into or on a non Eden cab.

Check if the cab has Eden on the back plate of the cab and speaker. On the speaker some are a giant sticker easy to see and other older models it is a gold magnet with Eden and model number stamped which can be hard to see.

Also when inspecting the cab the wood work is nicely done, if the cab dose not look well put together it could be a home made cab.

Your choice to pass if not all original.

I appreciate the input! it's a combo, not cab and head.
yes, Paul, I'm a believer!
the link below is the closest match I can find on the net, but my example is even bulkier, yet I can't find a pic!
and it's nearly square, with no slope on the face panel, just flat. single speaker.

did they make these with bigger speakers than 10s? it seems they did, at least one...
I probably can't post pics but I'll try when I get back from the candy store today.

It is likely a 12" speaker. As such, it is very likely a CXC112 cab with a WT330 in the same box and "Time Traveler" stamped on it.

The Metro was a two channel World Tour head in the same box with a 210XLT cab.

Most of their combos at the time were cabs they already made and heads they already made stuck together.

Try searching those models and you'll probably get more hits and more information.

I have a Time Travler cx112 combo. It's a decent home practice rig but CANNOT handle a low B at any decent volume IME. It's a great sounding head and DI for home studio use but I wouldn't even bother to take it to a rehearsal.
The horn design is concentric to the 112 supposedly offering a better time alignment for the sound. To that end it does well. However, the concentric design tends to reduce the speaker excursion potential IMO.

Does it look like this?
