Does anybody make one? Been looking around the usual spots, but haven't seen it if it exists... may not be looking in the right place.

I'd like a power cable that has a 90° bend downward, coming out of the back of an amp... simply put.

Both ends are IEC, normal cables use in the US is IEC on one end and NEMA 5-15p on the other end.

Ahh, thanks. I figured if you posted it, it was important enough to ask! I think the 90° adapter @/\/\3phist0 posted is just the ticket.

Well All, it's for my little Fender Champ 40. (guitar amp) The cord comes straight outta' the top, back, right corner. I'd rather not unplug it from the amp every time I cover it up and put away... would much rather just roll the excess wire into the back of the cab. Impossible with this design. Not a big deal, just a peek at my OCD tendencies. And even if it weren't triggering me, it's still a trip hazard for sweet Jeannie. She'll be up any minute now... little secret, she loves that Telecaster twang on a Saturday morning. Makes her dance. Makes me smile, and play Telecaster licks.

Thanks Fellas.

I have a whole bunch of those. I don't remember where I got them but they were easy to find, just use the appropriate IEC & NEMA codes, which themselves were easy to find.

I use them for powering floor wedges. The first time somebody stepped on a cord & disconnected power was a fluke; the second time was a problem, & the solution has been power cords with a 90-degree IEC at the equipment end.

Check out your local thrift stores and electronic recycling stores (if they are open). Also remember there are right-handed versions and left-handed versions.

Yeah. We've got a really good pro-audio shop here in town. I'll run in there one day next week. I hate to bug those guys for something this trivial, but I'll pick up a couple mic cables or something else too. I could use a couple 5-6' SpeakOn cables, come to think of it.

Well, shoot. The way the socket is oriented, the cable adapter would point up. I need for it to point downward to be useful. Back to square one.

I was assuming vertical orientation for the power inlet when I responded, but in any case you might still try pinging Markertek, they sell lots of stuff that doesn't always make it to the web store portal. Same for Mouser too, if you search for a known part number you sometimes get better results.

She can't just blink you one?

All I am finding are sideways or up. :cautious:
Guess they think the other gear will be in the way going down. In many cases the cab would not allow the down in a separate head situation.
