Any Fender Japan JB62SS short scale jazz bass owners here tonight?

I was wondering how the size of the Fender Japan JB62SS short scale/smart size jazz bass compared to the SX Ursa 2 short scale jazz bass body.

I measured the SX and here is what I found:

Measing the back from the top of the neck pocket to the strap button: 15 1/4 inches

Measuring across the width of the body (going over the area between the bridge and the bridge pickup) measures approximately 12 inches.

Measuring the width across the body from the upper bout to the lower bout: approxmiately 10 inches.

I used to own the JB62SS and while the qualit was exceptional, I kinda felt the body was too small. This SX short scale jazz feels better, but it be my memory playing tricks on me.

If anyone could measure their Fender Japan JB62SS to see if this SX is indeed bigger, that would be awesome.

Thanks in advance.

I also owned the JB62SS and I currently own the Ursa 2 JR. I don't know the exact dimensions but the SX is indeed slightly larger. The same way my Ursa 1 JR is slightly larger than my Fender P Junior.

Thanks for chiming in. I suppose my memory isn't too far off if we both feel the same.

But... If anyone out there has a JB62SS they can measure it would be great to hear. I like my SX short scale Jazz well enough, though I remember the Fender Japan neck being more comfortable to play (likely due to the more vintage spec fretboard radius).

Very few people in the states have one of these. When I bought mine, I found literally the only one for sale in the entire country. Sub short scale basses are not popular to begin with but then add in one that sells for $700+$150 shipping from Japan? Yea, I seriously doubt anyone here has one.
