Anybody seen the new 3D printed guitars?

I don't see them catching on, only because so many other non-wood materials haven't caught on. The possibilities seem endless though. There's another TB thread, where somebody 3D-printed upright bass tuning pegs, I think.

I think the only way they could really catch on is if they bring something new, AND LASTING, to the table. The look is cool, but so was purple and turquoise in the 80's. So was the AMC Pacer.

As he said in the video, the guitar was designed for quick printing. It's funny how it turned out to be very 80s looking.
 
Only the body of the bass is 3d printed. So basically it's just a custom resin body bass. I'm not impressed. That's the easiest part to make out of wood.

The mostly 3d printed classical guitar sounds like day old crap. Hard pass...
