I've been on the hunt for an old Incase gig bag like the one I had with my old Benavente, but they are always selling for more than I'm willing to pay for a 10 year old gig bag. I figured this might be a good alternative.

I just bought one on a whim last night. Couldn't find any reviews on here or anywhere else, but the shop I ordered it from has a 30 day return policy. Anyone own one yet? What are your thoughts?

I've been looking at Kapsules and Kapsulites, but haven't pulled the trigger. Once it arrives, can I ask for some photos of the storage the Kapsulite has? The photos I've seen don't make it clear if it has the full-frontal (hehe) pocket like its big brother has.

Hope you liked the case. I found this youtube video that reviews the product using subtitles (Korean & English).
If you have not returned the product, what are your thoughts on the case? I considered buying the Kapsulite for a while, but as of now, I am more inclined to get a Reunion Blues Continental Voyager Electric Bass guitar case. In any case, it would be great if can share your thoughts on the Kapsulite.

I think you may take it for granted that it doesn’t. The two cases are constructed very differently - the Kapsule has a soft lid, which can accommodate those pockets, while the Kapsulite has a hard one, and no extra space.

Bringing back this thread from the dead for others looking for an opinion. I ordered one on sale when they were relatively new and no reviews other than press releases. There were a few things I didn't like. I shared this with GruvGear when inquiring about a return. Ultimately the return shipping was about what I paid for it, so I ended up giving it to a friend who didn't have a case as it was painful for me to see him show up to gigs with a naked bass.

Critiques:

1) The front of the bass (strings, knobs, pickups, etc) is positioned against your back when using the straps. I'm sure this doesn't matter, as the case appears to offer good protection. However, in my mind, I'm imagining walking to a gig and naturally the bag will bounce a bit, so the knobs, controls, etc take the hit, rather than the back of the bass. I'm sure in reality it is no different than my other bags, but in my head, it seems a little strange. Maybe I'm used to everything else being "back to back" and I couldn't get over that.

2) Storage is very minimal. I take some extra batteries, cables, strings, tuner, small tool kit, and other knick knacks. There is one long pocket that zips down from the shoulder straps that doesn't offer a ton of space for things that I'd like to bring to shows. I could barely fit my strap and a cable in that space. The storage pocket is also positioned so that it would be against your back while wearing the gig bag. If that space was filled or over filled, the gig bag wouldn't be as comfortable as other bags where pockets typically face the other way (not against the back of your body).

3) I couldn't find much that could fit in to the neck support holder other than my batteries and tuner, but I liked this concept for "bonus" storage.

4) The extra foam pad for the bottom of the bag had no way of attaching to the bag (velcro or other method), so I could see that falling out or getting lost. That insert slipped out a few times just trying out 1-2 basses inside the bag, so I could see that getting lost at shows if you aren't careful.

I loved the way the bag looked, and the materials used. It did seem like it would work well for a minimal player. Personally, I'd trade off a little more size/weight for a little more storage so I don't have to bring a second bag to gigs.
