Interested to know what kinda pots and switches are being used. Anyone have any insight? I would open up mine but it arrived blemished and waiting to hear back from SBMM about the issue before I start doing things that might hurt my ability to replace the instrument.

wanting to source knobs but if a pots/wiring upgrade would be beneficial I’d want to order that as well. Thanks for your help I wasn’t able to find definitive answers through the search bar.

edit: meant to post this in electronics but didn’t realize I used the back button one too many times. Sorry.

It is likely that the pots are metric with splined shafts and push on knobs. Pretty easy to find a multitude of options on eBay or any other guitar parts vendor.

If your pots work without scratchy noises, there is no “upgrade”. A pot is a pot. Same with your switch. If it works changing them does nothing. Asian Alpha brand pots are fine.

If you want to change because you believe it’s an upgrade, GET a switchcraft switch and jack and CTS pots. The pot holes in the pg will likely have to be enlarged a bit. Metric knobs don’t fit CTS pots so you’ll need 1/4” knobs.

There’s really no point to it though.

well I planned on swapping out the jack to a switchcraft jack in black since I’m changing all the hardware to black and was trying to decide if anything else should get swapped out at the same time especially since pots are cheap.
