Bass stands.

My Warlock would have to hang, but it sits on thr floor pretty well on its own lol

And my Jazz doesn't like the legs and lean either, so it just stays in the case

A P bass would be happy in a leg stand though

So, yeah. It depends on the guitar

I assume you’re talking about the GS414B vs. the GS412B. They’re both equally good. on the GS414B the body of the bass rests against the tripod legs, the GS412B has a fold-out back rest that the body rests against, but this is invisible when there is a bass in the stand. The GS412B has a more compact footprint and is a little lighter.

This is the right choice...with the fold out

Among various other instrument stands, I have the Hercules GS412B (the one with the little foldout backrest shown in JakobT’s post above) and also their GS432B triple stand (with 3 foldout backrests, one for each instrument). Both work well with all my basses and guitars.

Their other stands probably work fine too, but I’ll just say that I recently had a bass fall out of a non-Hercules stand that holds the neck in a similar way to Hercule’s GS405B "Shoksafe" model, so personally I wouldn’t choose that "Shoksafe" one.

Anyway, overall I like Hercule’s approach. Somehow, they feel more secure to me than the various no-name and minor brand stands I’ve acquired over the years. The Hercules stands look sharp, too, and the nitro-friendly foam is a great touch

A Jazz Bass can be secure on this K&M floor stand, but when putting it on the stand I have to take extra care to make sure it's properly seated in the stand.

It folds down to flat so it fits on top of other stuff I have in the gig accessory case so I don't have to carry any small items, everything is in the case - cables, gaffa tape, extra power cable, spare patch cables for the pedalboard etc. It also holds the Hercules mini stand shown below, I use that with the Precision.

At home I use this K&M floor stand, it holds up to 5 basses. Very solid construction and it saves space in the living room.
