Best cheap hollowbody / semi hollowbody bass?

I am looking for a hollowbody bass that isn't hofner style. The cheaper the better. I know you guys have all the sources!!

I'll be watching this thread. I really want some kind of semihollow, with a longer scale length than 30", but I don't know a whole lot about them and so don't really know where to start looking. The Warwick Rockbass Star bass would probably be the one if it weren't for that super-flat fingerboard.

I liked my Epiphone Rumblekat as well. Had to trade it for a new computer but may very well get another one since the new blue ones are out. The Short scle ibanez ones play well too. Check out the Douglas brand sold by rondomusic.com.

I don't know if they'd still count as cheap with shipping but the Chowny semi hollow bass from the UK is impressive.
