Best preamp pedal that permos like John East J-Retro onboard preamp?

I've got John East's J Retro preamp's on my Fender J-Bass and my Lakland DJ4 and love them. I've got two other Fenders that don't have on-board preamps, I'd like to find a pedal that performs as nicely as the J Retro's do. Any suggestions?

Also I think there was a (stmp 01)? pedal made by east but now discontinued... Maybe he'll do one as a custom order if you can't find a used model

Not looking to reinvent the wheel, surely there's a bass preamp pedal on the market that's similar to the J-Reto on-boards.

1. Find the pedal, it's awesome. Make a Wanted Ad in Pedal section.
2. Order custom
3. DIY the preamp into a casing.

Why not just put one in a pedal? That's the easiest thing to do.
