In 1997 my partner Jimmy Jackson (Trailer Park Troubadours) and I were leaning on my Airstream trailer after a Fair gig drinking coffee. I said…”man wouldn’t it be cool if somebody made a guitar like this trailer.
Little did I know he was listening and before you know it Epiphone was building Airscreamer guitars. You can find one on that other site starts with R.
I begged Jimmy to get them to make a bass but heard nothing for years until maybe 2005 he was playing at NAMM when Mr. Kim from Epiphone Korea marched in carrying 2 gig bags with Mahogany/Maple Airscreamer basses in the bags.
Jimmy politely told Mr. Kim he couldn’t take both of them and thanked him profusely for one pictured here.
The other is hanging on an executive’s wall at Epiphone and I have the other.
1 of 2 in the world.
It plays like butter, very well made and handsome as hell.
