BFU Bass Banjolele

I don't know how to make a good review :/ but this is for a Buzzards Field Ukeleles Bass Banjolele (or Bassjolele if you will)

Honestly, it's better than I expected it to be. Generally, its pretty comfortable to play. There is a little bit of fret sprout on it but not to a horrible degree. I originally decided to get it to use as a travel/acoustic instrument but the electronics work pretty well on it too.

It does pretty good as a solo instrument and doesn't get too drowned out when playing in a group.

Overall, I'd rate the instrument itself a 6.5/10. Good for what it's worth.

(As I already stated, I don't know how to make a good review. I'll probably edit or add to this, like, 400 times)

VERY cool!

Here's the link to the product page, which you've provided elsewhere:

They say that the acoustic volume is not insignificant ("(p)layed acoustically it produces more volume than solid wooden-bodied basses - enough volume to accompany a quieter instrument such as a ukulele.") You seem to concur.
In case you're interested in enhancing this characteristic - within limits - you may want to consider trying nyloncore, silver-plated copper roundwounds, which don't have the typical ukulele bass tone but more treble content, which in turn means they're also louder.
Two sets worth considering are
- the La Bella / Gold Tone MBLNS Silverbacks
| Gold Tone Folk Instruments
Gold Tone MicroBass Silverbacks Silver-Wrapped Nylon Strings
- the Kala KA-BASS-4, also made by La Bella
Silver-Plated Nylon Core Round Wound U•BASS® 4-String Set - Kala Brand Music Co.™

Also reportedly louder than normal uke bass strings but less distant from their ballpark tonally,
- the Galli UXB810 (nylon-core, black nylon roundwounds, with a copper intermediate wrap)
UXB810 Blacknylon Special Strings
Galli UXB810 Black Nylon Round Wound Ukulele Bass Strings - 20.5 scale
