Block Inlay Stickers Decals, anyone tried them?

I'm thinking about customizing the neck for my jazz bass, that looks like the image below.
But necks are so expensive, and I have other priorities at the moment (a new cabinet first of all, a little repair on my 5er and so on)
Does anybody tried those stickers they sell on Ebay?

I ordered a set and the 12th fret sticker didn't look like it would cover the octave dots. Would have looked interesting for certain.

I've never seen inlay stickers that looked good, IMO. At best, the good stickers look like actual inlays but inlays without binding look weird to me.

I did and I found them to work well. And the twelfth fret marker fit perfectly, twinjet.

They sell stick on binding to complete the look as well.

I tried a set ona Ibanez Prestige 4505 i had and they looked ery good on it. People couldn't tell even with the bass right in their hands. Here is a before and after pics.

I have them on one of my custom jazz basses and I think it really makes it pop!

I put a set block inlay stickers on one of my basses once. They looked convincing enough, but the problem was, *I* knew they were fake. I ended up taking them off a couple of months later.

I've used them several times. Put them on this around two years ago.

This is my thought too. I had inlay stickers on a jazz bass, but it looked awkward to me without the binding. I also felt them a little while I was playing. Nothing drastic, but you could tell they were there.

That's a good point...
And was the removing operation without collateral effects for the fretboard?

I like Jockomo - see "sticks" on this page: Rosette / Sticks Not custom sized for neck binding, but ought to be workable.

i've had some ' prs bird type ' on an acoustic , from Creative Cuts - Ebay ... they worked very well .. !

I put some decal rectangles on one of my P/Js. It's been a couple years, they are still going strong. Look IMO. There are times you can feel them, but for the most part, if that's the look your after and don't want to spend a lot of money doing it, they do the trick very nicely.

Hence, the binding stickers are a must.

I was at a Nathan East clinic and was going to comment on the national flag inlays he had on his signature bass' fretboard. But during the clinic he mentioned that they were stickers that he picked up in a gift shop. If Nathan East can put stickers on his fretboard, we can put stickers on our fretboard.

Nah... Just peeled right off.
