Blown Out Mesa Boogie Powerhouse 4x10 Cab ?

I recently picked up a Mesa Boogie Powerhouse 4x10 from a pawn shop for 300 bucks out the door. I also just purchased a used SVT 3 PRO for $250 from the old Facebook Marketplace today since I am upgrading from an Ashdown Electric Blue 180. It just can not cut through when I am placed next to my drummer (he plays very softly, yet still I couldn't hear myself). The top left speaker has a very subtle rattle to it. Almost sounds like there is something rattling around in it. When I increase the bass it gets worse.

My thought is that it is the voice coil within the speaker, but I would like to hear some other opinions as well. When I press on the speaker no scraping or scratching occurs.

Thanks so much in advance!

Have you already tried removing that speaker to inspect the back side? If not, you should. Problem might be a wire or some other debres touching the cone on the back side.

Also check the glue joint between the cone and surround on both sides of the speaker, your problem might be a small area of that joint that has came loose and simply needs to be re-glued.
