Boss RPQ-10 Micro Rack - line level jacks

Hello TB, I've been scouring the forums and could not find an answer to an issue I'm having with an old 9-volt rack effect.

I just got a Boss RPQ-10 half-rack EQ and noticed that the line level input and output jacks are not for standard 1/4" cables. They seem to be for RCA cables, likely for use with a tape recorder (this is an effect from the 80's after all). In the product manual the line inputs and outputs are rated at -10dB, which is higher that the other input/outputs (which are -20dB).

I'd like to use this EQ at line level if possible, but I don't know much about RCA cables, and am sceptical that using RCA cables between a preamp and power amp will result in good sound.

Does anyone have experience with this old format or the device itself? If this thing just won't work well at line level, it really limits it's usefulness in my live rack setup.

The specs in the product manual list the line jacks as 'pin'... I'm not familiar with that term. They look like RCA cinch jacks to me.
