I'm currently in the process of accumulating gear for a live solo project I've conceived. It gonna involve a lot of bass loops, synth sequences, and drum loops. In order to do what I have in mind though, I need a bpm detector in order to sync loops and sequences/drum loops. I know I could just get a looper pedal with a midi input, but thats not really an option for me right now (I have a boss rc-30 btw). I know the kaoss pad has a built in bpm detector and that would work, but I am wondering if anyone knows of any cheaper options?

Metronome with tap tempo and there are apps that give bpm.
Thanks for the reply, but tap tempo only really works if you get it absolutely perfect, which is almost impossible, (also depending on the length of the loop, some of mine are pretty long), if its a tiny bit off it will slowly unsync. Also I would prefer not have to connect a phone or computer to my live set up.

what do you meant by BPM detector??
just from your brief description, i think this is the only pedal that can detect a click track but it still needed an audio source,
Time Bandit | Truetone

Are you going to have everything running seperate output hence your need to get them a bpm generator?
my suggestion is to invest on the digitech jamman xt with the jam sync, it will be much simpler.

check out this video, she is running multiple setup through different output and sync them all together.

This video explains what I'm trying to do, just replace the cd player with a loop pedal. And I couldn't find anywhere that sold the bpm detector he uses in the video.
