BR-1200CD help with getting speakers to work

I can't figure out what to buy or what I need as far as adaptors go or maybe it's a settings problem but the speaker won't work good like the sound is so low all the way turned up I have 10" speakers with tweeters they aren't powered or anything does anyone know what I need to buy or do to make them work great

Which amp are you using? It has a line out and headphone out.

the headphones jack works fine but the line out won't work at all an idk what any of that means but my speakers won't work

Basic hookups for the BR-1200CD are on page 34 of the manual. This unit cannot power speakers directly, you either have to have a stereo amplifier to drive the speakers or use self-powered speakers.

What Crater said. You need active speakers with inbuild amplifiers or an amplifier and passive speakers. What you are trying to do is like plugging your bass directly into a speaker cabinet with no bass amp inbetween.
