I'm a huge fan of the amp-in-a-stompbox pre,-amps modeled after classic amps. The Broughton Silver Deluxe is one of my favorites - modeled after the Fender tone stack using a JFET boost to emulate a tube vibe. In any event I was moving some things around so I took a Cioks DC 7, a ditto looper, and the Silver Deluxe and snagged some clips in garage band through an IK multimedia iRig.
Why not nerd out and share the results? I think I like it best at 18v
No Silver Deluxe > Silver Deluxe @9v > Silver Deluxe @12v > @15v > @18v > @24v
The setup
Pedal Settings for the clips (voltage changed but the knobs remained unchanged)
DC 7...
...visually the waves show the improved headroom as the voltage increases
Thats it. Enjoy...
