I've had this tuner about a year. It has never been a problem. I kept it plugged in to a power supply in my practice space. I keep my practice bass plugged into it all the time.
Last night I was getting a loud buzz, like something not grounded. Everything is usually funeral parlor quiet. The buzz would disappear if I turned the bass volume all the way up or all the way down. It buzzed if the volume was between about 15% and 85%.
As a test, I unplugged from the tuner and went straight to the amp. No more buzz. So, it has to be either the cord from the tuner to the amp or the tuner. I should have tried a different cord, but it was late and I didn't do that. I will tonight.
Has anyone else experienced this? Could it be a low battery? I thought that as long as the power supply is plugged in, you don't need a battery. It does have a battery I put in when I first got it.

the first thing i suggest is that you take that battery out.
If you're using a power supply anyway there's no need to loose a pedal to battery acid that came free after a year.

Our Room has quite some of the lowest quality wiring i ever experienced. Sometimes, when there is a loud buzz or hum,
i need to turn the powerjack 180°. Not sure if that is possible with american jacks, but if, worth a try.

And when we moved everything in the room for better acoustics, i was not able to use the same outlet for my amp and my pedalboard.
Noisy like hell. Pedalboard plugged into the next outlet, everything fine.

Thanks. Reversing Polarity (turn powerjack 180) isn't an option. It is all 3 wire grounded. My house in only 11 years old, so wiring is not a problem.
It is strange that it goes away depending on volume setting on the bass. I thought at first that was the problem. I'm going to try a different cord from tuner to amp tonight and try discarding or changing the battery.

Got is solved. It was the cable from the tuner to the amp. I wouldn't have thought it would be affected by the bass volume control. I plugged that cable into the bass and got the buzz. Pulled out a different cable and the noise is gone.
