So my amp took a fall the other day while loading in to a gig. Probably about four feet straight onto the asphalt road. I can see where it hit a corner as there is some light damage to the aluminum chassis. Problem is, when I plug it in and turn it on there is a load buzzing noise. It does this with nothing plugged in but a speaker cable. No bass plugged in at all. Doesn’t matter which speaker out Jack that I plug into. I did notice that I can get the noise to go away if I push down on the top of the chassis. Doesn’t take much pressure. Just a little flex and the noise will completely go away and often times stay that way. But then it might come back on randomly or when I next turn it on. Any Ideas? Is it worth taking the top off and having a look? Or should it go straight to a tech if I can find one.
