Cab for Genz Benz 500? Fender Rumble?

Hello,

I know very little about amps in general, so I just want to check before I purchase. Long story short, I have this discontinued combo amp (Genz Benz 500 210).

I'm interested in getting a cab that can bring the whole thing up to 500w. Obviously, the cab that's supposed to be paired with it would be ideal.

Unfortunately, it is no longer in production. Ive looked used, but haven't seen it. Also, I prefer new anyway as I've had bad experiences buying cabs used.

So, I like the Fender Rumble combo amps and I thought I'd look at the cabs. I just wanted to make sure that Rumble 210 Cab (8ohms) would work ok.

So, my questions are:
1. Will these work together safely?
2. Is there a better option for the pairing? A different Fender Rumble cab? Something else entirely?

Thanks.

Yes the Rumble 210 will work just fine with no impedance issues.

The speakers are not the same and may or may not sound good together. You'd have to try them out together to know for sure. The Fender Rumble 115 cabinet may be a better choice, as 2x10 + 1x15 almost always play well together.

Any thoughts on the Fender Neo 1x15" and the Contour 500 2x10"?

Should be reasonably close (not as close as finding either a Contour or Focus series cabinet however), as there is some common blood between the two brands.

The Contour and Focus are essentially the same product with different cosmetics to match either combo or stand alone. These will also match up reasonably well with the Shuttles (210 and 115), NeoX (210 and 115) but not so well with the Uber or XB series.

Hope this helps.
