First time user so be gentle! ;)

Please see the pix below of an amp i'm considering buying.

Does anyone have any opinions on this thing based on the pix? Price seems ok here in Europe (2300 euro) considering what these seem to go for these days.

But perhaps to the expert eagle eye there is something to be aware (or beware) of?

Is it clear from the pix which variant this is?

Thanks in advance!

Looks like a 65-67 head (or a 67/68 with earlier knobs) on a 69-80 cab. The shelf ported cab is the later thiele design which was introduced in 69 or so. The screws on the top are the positions for the pcb based amps.

Agreed. It's two orphans put together. Still, I bet it's kickass. Just don't know if I'd pay that much for orphans.

So, you're asking the choir to sing for you?

Actually i was kinda hoping they'd play bass.........

Thanks guys .......... if it's not complete then i agree it's overpriced, i'll pass on this one.

It's a lot of money to pay, but these (original and complete) amps will only increase in value, so it' a win-win.

Looks good to me. Original transformer cans. Looks like an original speaker.

Without an image inside the chassis, you don’t know what has been done. Ask if any maintenance has been performed. Has there been a recap. Is the PCB damaged and patched or has the circuits been modified in any way.

Most importantly, how does it sound?

Expect to pay a lot in Europe. It's top dollar. The studio may not be that motivated to sell it.

Without knowing the European market that definitely seems high to me for a mix and match, but looking at what’s out there in the states prices seem to be trending high. If it sounds good, has been serviced, and there isn’t much else available locally in that price range it might not be bad.
